Script to documentary video

ArchiveCut turns your written script into a narrated documentary video. Paste the script and approve it. It then plans scenes, finds licensed archive pictures, records an AI voice, adds captions and exports a 1080p film, using your words exactly as written.

Opening to small groups. We use your address only to send your invitation.

Can AI turn my script into a documentary video?

Yes. Paste your script into ArchiveCut and it plans scenes, finds licensed archive pictures, records narration with an AI voice, adds captions and exports a 1080p film. Your words are used exactly as written.

Will it change my words?

No. The approved text is the narration. Scenes and captions are checked against it word for word, including sentences you repeat on purpose.

Is this the same as a text to documentary video generator?

Close, with one difference. Many text-to-video tools generate imagined footage from a prompt. ArchiveCut narrates your text over real archive pictures and records each picture’s source and licence.

How are chapter headings handled?

A line starting with ## becomes a chapter title on screen and isn’t read aloud.

What if no picture fits a scene?

You see other archive matches and can pick one, search again or upload your own. If nothing fits it says so, and a picture that isn’t of the exact event is labelled as illustrative on screen.

What you get

An MP4, a caption file and a credits file. You can change one scene’s words or picture and export again without starting over.
