About ArchiveCut
ArchiveCut is an AI documentary maker in development, for people who write narration and are short of time to edit it. It’s opening to small groups and has no price yet.
What it does today
You give it a subject or your own script and approve the exact narration. It then finds licensed archive pictures, records an AI voice, adds captions and music, and exports a 1080p film with a caption file and a credits file. You can change one scene and export again.
Where the words and pictures come from
AI drafts narration from encyclopedia sources, and claims it can’t find there are flagged for you. Pictures come from licensed archives such as Wikimedia Commons and NASA, or from your uploads. It doesn’t download from YouTube or other platforms.
How it’s tested
We make films from start to finish and check that captions and scenes hold every approved word, in order. Each export gets a quality report on black frames, clipping, loudness and caption speed. English is tested from start to finish, and Hindi with less review so far. In our own tests the AI’s first drafts weren’t yet good enough to use without a person reviewing them, so a person approves every script before anything is made.
What it won’t claim
It doesn’t guarantee accuracy, its licence records aren’t legal clearance, and it makes no promise of views or earnings. You are responsible for what you publish.
